Mark Blankespoor, PT, is a
physical therapist and president of Work Systems Rehab & Fitness, P.C. He
has previously worked in hospital-based physical therapy departments. In
December, 1998, he opened Work Systems Rehab, P.C. to assist industries in
their return to work process. He currently consults with a variety of
industries throughout Iowa. He is also a faculty member with Isernhagen Work
Systems. |

Troy Vander Molen, PT
joined Work Systems Rehab & Fitness, P.C. in 2001. He has previously worked
in various private and hospital-based outpatient orthopaedic practices. He has
a strong interest in manual therapy, functional treatment protocols,
sportsmedicine, and overuse injuries. He has had the opportunity to work with
many different industries helping them solve work injury problems with
ergonomic analysis and training, functional job descriptions, prework screens,
and on-site therapy. |

Shelly DeRuiter, PT
graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Physical Therapy
degree in 1992 and has worked in a variety of settings. Shelly excels in
rehabilitation that involves orthopaedic care, women's health issues, and
Pilates. Shelly is also an avid fitness enthusiast, participating regularly in
triathlons. |

Todd Schemper, PT manages
Work Systems Rehab & Fitness, P.C.'s Des Moines clinic. He graduated from
Des Moines University's physical therapy Masters Degree program in 1999.
Previously he practiced in the Sioux City, Iowa area in an outpatient
orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation environment. Todd's special
interests are orthopaedics, manual therapy, postural restoration, and physical
therapy mission work. As a triathlete he enjoys sports medicine, focusing on
running injuries. |

Shane Scholten, MS,
ACSM-HFI, is the fitness club manager for Work Systems Rehab & Fitness,
P.C. He is a Masters-prepared exercise physiologist with a broad fitness
background. He is enthusiastic and has a tremendous amount of knowledge for you
to tap into. Shane has helped run a biomechanics lab at the University of
Nebraska-Omaha, has taught anatomy and physiology courses at the college level,
has been a personal fitness trainer for patients referred from orthopedic
surgeons, and is published in a number of high-profile professional
journals. |

Dave Vanderhoff, PT, DPT,
ATC, CSCS is a 2001 graduate of Des Moines University with a Master's
Degree in Physical Therapy. He has previously worked in hospital settings
concentrating on orthopedics, sports medicine, and ergonomics. Dave is also a
certified athletic trainer and recently obtained the Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist certification. |

Gary Latcham, PT has
been a physical therapist since 1992 when he graduated with a Master's Degree
in physical therapy from Des Moines University. He has been involved in
outpatient orthopaedics and has managed the physical therapy clinic at Maytag
Company. Gary is well versed in ergonomics, industrial rehab, and manual
therapy. |

Elise Spronk, MS, OTR/L
is an occupational therapist with eight years of experience. She received a
Masters degree in occupational therapy from the University of South Dakota in
1997 and has since gained practice experience in hand therapy and upper
extremity rehabilitation. She is also certified by Norton School of Lymphatic
Therapy as a lymphedema specialist. At Work Systems Rehab & Fitness, P.C.,
Elise manages pediatric therapy services for residents of Pella and surrounding
communities. |

Tracy Fuller, LMT is a
licensed massage therapist with over seven years of experience in this field.
She is a highly-skilled massage therapist who specializes in neuromuscular,

Carol Kelderman, PT, DPT,
is a physical therapist at WSR's Oskaloosa clinic. She graduated with a
doctorate in physical therapy from Creighton University in 1997, and she has
extensive experience in orthopedics (including sports and post-surgical rehab),
women's health, and neurological rehab. She recently served as the chair of the
nominating committee for APTA's Section on Women's health, and she is currently
an adjunct associate faculty member at the University of Iowa Graduate Program
in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. She has completed 3 marathons
and an Olympic distance triathlon. |

Patty Zylstra is the
Membership Director at Work Systems Rehab & Fitness. She comes with 11
years of education experience and 3 years in the fitness industry. She has her
certification as a Fitness Professional and has had much success with the
bodybugg program. Patty will provide Work Systems Rehab & Fitness members
with the means to reach their personal fitness goals. She also looks forward to
helping members recognize and achieve a healthy lifestyle utilizing the
programs Work Systems Rehab & Fitness has to offer. Her passion is for
everyone to learn how to incorporate fitness into their everyday life and
making that experience enjoyable! |

Ron Peterson ATC, LAT is
a 2007 graduate of Simpson Colleges Athletic Training Education Program.
His primary duty for Work Systems Rehab & Fitness is working with the Des
Moines Buccaneers Hockey team. He is also interested in strength and
conditioning. |

Heather Pilcher, MSE, ATC,
LAT is an athletic trainer with 2.5 years of experience at the collegiate
level. She is a 2003 graduate of Central Colleges Athletic Training
Program and a 2005 graduate of the University of Kansas with a Masters
Degree in Clinical Exercise Science. She has had graduate and undergraduate
internships in various outpatient clinical settings. Her primary duty for
WSR&F is working with the various high schools and colleges around
Oskaloosa and Pella. |

Ted Peterson, DrOT, MBA,
OTR/L, brings over 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist in
varied settings to the Work System team. A graduate of the occupational therapy
program at the University of North Dakota, Ted has served both adults and
children in hospital, nursing home, school, and clinic settings in Indiana,
Illinois, North Dakota, and Iowa. In addition to his clinical practice, Ted
serves as an adjunct instructor at William Penn University's College for
Working Adults where he teaches business courses. |
